Anemones

Anemones are one of the most difficult things to keep in a marine tank and should therefore only be tackled by experienced reef keepers. The easiest to keep are Atlantic Anemones (£16.90), but it is important to remember that these anemones have very strong stings. Therefore normal Percula Clownfish will not usually host in them, however certain other clowns will. Always check that your type of clown fish and your anemone are compatible. The last important factor is to remember that anemones often require a lot of light and water flow in order to survive. T8 lighting is generally not acceptable and will cause the anemone to start "wandering" around the tank as it tries to look for a better position to attach itself.
